Everything you ever wanted to know about the Grey Ajah but where afraid to ask...

Info on the Grey Ajah of the Books
Compiled by Serenity Sedai and Briallan Sedai

The Grey Ajah: Sisters are mediators who seek harmony and consensus, many Greys are used specifically to negotiate treaties between nations. However, some rulers are slow to use this method, as they are concerned that the new treaty might serve the best interests of the White Tower moreso than that of the nations involved.

History: After the Aiel War, the Grey Ajah attempted to hold together the coalition of nations formed to fight the Aiel, but it ended up breaking apart despite their efforts.

Amyrlins:
- Sierin Vayu 979 NE - 984 NE
- Raised a few months after the Aiel War, she didn't like men much. On the day she was raised, she birched two Sisters and exiled three for a year. She was murdered by the Red Ajah, who were induced by Chesmal Emry (a Yellow), because Sierin discovered Chesmal was Black. Chesmal was also partly responsible for the murder of Sierin's predecessor Tamra Ospenya, along with Jarna Malari (a Grey) and Galina Casban (Head of the Red Ajah until her failed imprisonment of Rand Al'thor, and second highest Black in the Tower, answerable only to Alviarin).
- Parenia Demalle 817-866 NE
- Cemaile Sorenthaine 681 - 705 NE
- She wanted to return the Tower back to the glories it had before the Trolloc Wars. She didn't get very far. One of the weakest Amyrlins ever, by the end of her reign, she didn't have any decisions to make.
- Gerra Kishar 601 - 638 NE
- One of the greatest Amyrlins ever and powerful, playing one faction in the White Tower against another.
- Cerilla Marodred 454- 476 NE
- Serenia Latar 276 -306 NE
- She was the first Aes Sedai hanged by the Children of Light, however she was dead before the hanging.
- Elise Strang 223 - 244 NE
- Medanor Eramandos 142 - 197 NE
- Dalaine Ndaye 36 - 64 NE
